The Lambeth Made Create Your Future Summer Programme is designed to provide young people aged 16-19 (up to 25 with additional needs) living in Lambetwith a positive experience of learning a new skill, meeting new people and developing a positive mindset to enable you to move forward into employment, training or gaining a qualification.

Orange Bow – Media Traineeship

Ever thought about working in Media?

We will provide participants with 4 weeks of dedicated learning by teaching digital media-related, entrepreneurship & employability skills and podcast creation, utilising expert mentoring from organisations like BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Students will also have the chance to undergo an accredited qualification linked to the course as well as 2 weeks worth of work experience relating to Media.

Make Your Own Way –  Business & Technology 

Want to build up your business skills? Ever wondered what it is like to work in Tech?

Make Your Own Way – Business and Technology programme will focus on entrepreneurship, digital and creative skills.

The course also includes work experience and an opportunity to apply for paid work placements at The Hebe Foundation.

Simply Beauty – Nails and Lashes Beauty Course

Are you interested in becoming a Nail or Lash Technician? Or wanting to start your own beauty business?

During the Simply Beauty course you will gain a recognised qualification in either Manicure/Pedicure or Eyelash Extensions. After completing this course, you can move straight into employment or higher education.

LFL – SEND Hospitality Course

Are you interested in Hospitality and Catering?

During this 4 week programme young people aged 16- 25 will be trained in hospitality, first aid, resilience, employability skills and have the opportunity to take part in work experience at the brand new Hive café in Streatham. 

Lifelong family Links focuses on supporting young people with  Special Education Needs and Disability to achieve their aspirations.

‘Future in Farming’ – Animal Welfare & First Aid Training

Want to work with Animals but not sure where to start?

Vauxhall City Farm’s ‘Future in Farming’ employability programme will equip you with the basics in animal care along with an accredited Animal First Aid qualification.

You will also learn valuable skills for the workplace and increase your confidence and motivation.

The RE: Work Project – Front-End Web Development & Business Marketing Course

Imagine the doors that could open if you could build websites or start your own business?

The RE: WORK Project is an intensive accredited 5 week programme focused on the developing technical skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva and Front end web development. 

Young people will also learn web design and business start-up skills.  The course is designed to give you the practical knowledge you need to set up your own business.

Construction & Maintenance

Are you curious about a career in construction?  Want to join our Summer Challenge?  You’ll get the inside scoop with local  employers both in Construction, Repairs and Maintenance.  Site visits, meet the employer events and  have-a-go activities are all included in our supportive and varied summer programme.

This programme is open to all Lambeth Residents aged between 16 and 19 (up to 25 with SEND).
